Melanie K. Bone, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Bone, born in Albany, New York received her undergraduate degree in Russian Language and English Literature from Georgetown University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1981. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at that time and continued with honors in medical school at Albany Medical College where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She did her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident in 1989. Dr. Bone spent one year teaching George Washington residents before she moved to Florida to enter private practice. She has owned her own practice since 1991 delivering thousands of babies in Palm Beach County and providing gynecologic care to countless women in her community.

Dr. Bone is involved in many community-wide organizations. Since October 2006, she has been writing a weekly column for the Palm Beach Post called Surviving Life. The column deals with issues about cancer and survivorship. She also served as President of both the Palm Beach County Ob/Gyn Society and the Hope Project, a mobile mammogram unit providing free and low-cost mammograms to underserved and uninsured women in Palm Beach County. Her local awards include March of Dimes Woman of the Year in 1999, Palm Beach Medical Society Women’s Advocacy Award 2000, American Jewish Committee Woman of Valor, and American Committee for the Weitzmann Institute of Science Woman of Vision 2003.

At the state level, Dr. Bone served on the Executive Committee of the Florida Ob/Gyn Society and was also on the Board of Directors of the Florida Breast Cancer Coalition.

Nationally, Dr. Bone is currently on the Board of Directors of BreastCancer.Org, a worldwide organization devoted to developing and sustaining a website with information and support about breast cancer. In addition, she is a national speaker for Myriad Genetics, and donates many hours teaching doctors, nurses, and the public at large about hereditary cancer syndromes.

Dr. Bone is a 7-year survivor of Stage III breast cancer and wrote a book with the Reverend Dr. Richard Cromie titled A Journey Through Cancer. Proceeds from this book, available through Amazon.com, are all donated to charity. Dr. Bone also started her own not-for-profit company, Dr. Bone’s Cancer Comforts, Inc. that makes goods to help teach children about cancer and help ease side effects of cancer treatments.

Dr. Bone is most proud of her role as mother to Becky 13, Carlton 12, Bailey 11, and Rex 10. She spends her free time playing tennis, cycling, and cooking.

 


Kelly Milanese

Kelly joins our practice as our Billing Specialist and Surgical Coordinator. She has great history in the medical arena as a front office administrator for a plastic and reconstructive surgery group, office manager for a podiatry practice and was, at one time, a dental assistant with front office experience.

Kelly moved to Florida from New York in 2002 with her husband. She is the mother of twin girls. Kelly is a sports fan and really enjoys the weather in Florida and takes advantage of the year-around outdoor activities.


Jeanette Ingram, RN, RT

Jeanette Ingram is a certified Radiology Technician who performs the bone density tests in our practice. She is also a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in medical and surgical nursing, intensive care and pain management.

She is the wife of a pastor, the mother of 2 grown children and proud grandmother of 7.

Her interests are varied and include reading and working with children-particularly disabled children and their families.


Amanda Sucato, CMA

Amanda Sucato is a Certified Medical Assistant. She received her training at Medvance Institute and did her externship with an OB/GYN practice in Loxahatchee. She recently joined our practice to assist Katherine Eppler and we are very pleased to have her.

Amanda was born and raised in West Palm Beach and she and Jeremy have a son named Luke. Amanda has many interests, but is especially proud of being a mother. She enjoys being with friends and family and really likes outdoor activities.
