For MEDICARE patients: We will file directly to Medicare as a courtesy, but payment in full for the visit is still required at the time of service. Medicare will then send the remaining portion of the bill to a secondary insurer if you provide that information at the time you are seen. We will no longer be responsible for billing your secondary provider if you do not provide us with that information at the time of service. If you do not have MediGap or another secondary crossover insurance, then Medicare will reimburse you only for their portion of the fee and you will either be responsible for filing the secondary claim yourself or you will not be reimbursed for that portion of the fee.
As of April 1, 2008 this office will not be able to follow-up on any claims. Kelly Milanese is our billing specialist. She will do her best to answer your billing-related questions. Please understand that she may not contact your insurance company for you. As a reminder, any questions regarding lab or pathology bills should be addressed directly to their billing departments.
